Biography

Klaus Nierhoff is a German actor. He was born in Werl, North Rhine Westphalia, the son of Edith and Franz Nierhoff. His father was an official at the ministry of health. Nierhoff started acting in theatrical performances at school and university and took part in the "Theater of the World Festival" where he worked with Jerôme Savary and Robert Wilson. After finishing drama school he played repertoire in several German, Austrian, Swiss and Luxemburg theaters, playing in "Faust", "Leonce" in Büchners "Leonce and Lena", Kleists "Amphitryon", "Demetrius" and later "Theseus/Oberon" in Shakespeares "Midsummer Night's Dream", etc. and was in Musicals like "Fiddler on the roof", "The Wizard of Oz", "Knickerbocker Holiday" and "Rocky Horror Show". His favorite was "Beowulf", directed by Michael Bogdanov. During the 1990s, Nierhoff started appearing in television shows.
