Leslie Nipkow

Early on, Leslie Nipkow turned a strange trip into the world of soaps into a one-woman show, Guarding Erica, the story of Erica Kane's All My Children prison guard -- femme fatale on the inside, but, to the casual onlooker (and the network), just a thick girl in ill-fitting polyester pants. She's the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, but didn't find out until he'd been dead three hours; Leslie been around the world digging for clues to who he was ever since. An activist at heart, she was a 2007 Writers Strike Captain, out of which came the feature script, Salt of the Earth, which made the 2019 Black List Feature Labs and 2019 & 2020 Black List WIF Women's Writers Residency Shortlists. Most recently, her drama pilot, Crumb Bums, was chosen for the 2020 Athena Writers Lab, and her courtroom drama feature-in-progress received a development grant from Stowe Story Labs. Seven years ago, she took a detour into the cancer machine, then transformed that nightmare into a psychedelic cancer come
