Biography

Namakula is a NYC based artist born to a quirky, Ugandan, Economics professor father and a feisty, omnipotent Jamaican mother. For myriad years, she's experienced a uniquely diverse and robust career as an actor, writer, video editor and producer. She's worked throughout the US and abroad, particularly Spain, which for many years, she considered (Barcelona) to be her second home. As an actor, Namakula's performed in theatre, short films, TV, webseries, commercials, voice over projects and stand up comedy. Her offbeat humor has landed her comedic roles on The Daily Show, Conan O'Brien, a wacky Dunkin' spot and a "Broad City" promo (with Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson). She's worked with many groundbreaking directors like: Charles Stone III, David Shane, and legendary talents Matthew Rolston and Joe Pytka.
