CeCe Moore

CeCe Moore, investigative genetic genealogist, is best known for her work with law enforcement to identify suspects in high profile cold cases through the genetic genealogy techniques she developed and pioneered for individuals of unknown parentage searching for their biological families and genetic roots. Her work has helped reunite thousands of family members through "The DNA Detectives." She is also the genetic genealogist (eight seasons) and a producer (Season 5) for the PBS TV series "Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr." She has appeared on many news shows such a 60 Minutes, 20/20, 48 Hours, and The Dr. Oz Show, showcasing her innovative and cutting edge work, and served as a consultant for many media projects. CeCe starred in the ABC News prime time mini-series "The Genetic Detective" in the summer of 2020. In November 2021, an extensive profile detailing her life and work, written by Raffi Khatchadourian, was published by The New Yorker Magazine.
