Biography

Born in Los Angeles, CA to a former professional baseball player and a retired administrator at EMI Records, Alex is an American Millennial filmmaker of Mesoamerican, European, African, and Sephardic descent. Alex began his career as a child actor studying method-acting under Kevin McDermott at Center Stage LA. Alex first made appearances in theater and commercials before making his film debut in Clubhouse Detectives (1996) which earned him a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Soon after, Alex made appearances in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Walker, Texas Ranger (1993), The Ellen Show (2001), and is a recipient of the ALMA Award for his performance in the PBS TV Mini-Series, Foto Novelas: In the Mirror (1997). Alex's directorial career began in 2013 after assuming the role of Creative Director at an advertising agency. There he began developing a style of filmmaking focused on depicting dignity.
