Biography

Matthew Kennedy was born to Walter Eugene and Mary Jane Kennedy October 17, 1971 in Lynn, Massachusetts, a city known primarily for its cemeteries, Asian gangs and arson. He attended St. Mary's Regional High School, graduating in 1989. He was a musician in a number of heavy metal bands through High School and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career in 1990. He was a founding member of the band Abusement Park, and performed on stage with a number of LA punk and metal bands throughout the early 90s. He worked briefly as a performance artist alone and along side counter-culture notables Genesis P. Orridge, Timothy Leary, William Burroughs, Lydia Lunch and Lawrence Tierney. He was discovered in an art gallery by Mel Brooks, who put him in a commercial to promote his film 'Robin Hood Men In Tights'.
