Biography

At 19 Anne Kasprik played her first leading role in the film "Einzug ins Paradies". This was in 1982. Since then the inhabitant of Berlin with the green eyes has been seen nearly continuously on screen or canvas. Gladly she plays strong women who may also show their sombre sides. Anne Kasprik was born on the 11th June, 1963 in Berlin. Her parents, director Hans-Joachim Kasprik and photographer Jutta Kasprik, had already made early contact with film and theater. With direction and practical training on television the DDR recognised her performing talent in the eye, and she concentrated upon it. Her theatrical career began with the TV film "Einzug ins Paradies" (1982). Leading roles followed in a lot of films for the Defa and the television of the DDR, among the rest in the series "Der Staatsanwalt hat das Wort" and "Polizeiruf 110".
