Biography

Writer/Producer Richard Kahan was born and raised in the open prairies of Canada, and has worked in film and television for over 25 years. Richard got his start as an actor and appeared in over 100 hours of television and various films, starring opposite the likes of Dennis Hopper. In addition to his series regular role on USA Network's Emmy-nominated THE 4400, he made dozens of guest appearances including THE MENTALIST and GREY'S ANATOMY. Richard followed his passion for writing and producing, under the wing of his mentor, prolific writer/producer/show runner Ira Steven Behr. Richard worked on Sony Television/Starz multi Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series OUTLANDER, writing one of the highest rated episodes of the hit series.
