Bruno Iannone

Born in Montagano, Italy, he came to the U.S. as an 8 year old with his mother and sisters to join his father who settled here a year earlier. Excelled in sports (basketball and baseball) at St. Patrick's High School in Elizabeth, NJ. Graduated Cum Laude, and received basketball scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso upon graduation, after having been named to All-County, All-State, and All-American Honorable Mention Selections. He completed his college career at Biscayne College in Miami, FL (now St. Thomas University) graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in English and Philosophy, and went on to play pro basketball in Italy with G.S.A. Benevento. He was inducted into the St. Patrick's High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996 and elected into the Elizabeth, NJ Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.
