Jay Hunter

Jay Hunter grew up in Barrington, IL and studied film at The University of Colorado at Boulder. It was there that Jay was exposed to world cinema and experimental non-narrative filmmaking while taking classes with avant-garde luminaries such as Stan Brakhage. This unconventional approach to cinema set the tone for his future career in the film industry which has taken many eclectic twists and turns. Jay has worked as either a Cinematographer or Director on a multitude of feature films, episodic television shows and unscripted television series since moving to Los Angeles in 2001.
