Paul Louyet

Paul Louyet was born in Antwerpen - Berchem, Belgium 24 June 1922. He died in Ibiza, Spain on 2 March 2006. He became in 1948 Master in political and administrative sciences at the Université Libre Bruxelles, Belgium. From 1947 on, he was Dutch speaking announcer at the Belgian radio. He received the Prix Italia 1954 for his radio reports on Belgian Congo. From 1955 to 1958 he was head of the section "Movies" of the Flemish television in Brussels. From 1958 till 1968 he was the head of the movie service of the Ministry of Education in Brussels. From 1969 on he worked as professor at the film school INSAS in Brussels and as independent film producer.
