Biography

Mark Lowrie is a photographer and film editor who started his career in Utah as an assistant editor working on The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams TV series third season and other shows for Sunn Classic Pictures. In 1984 he moved to L.A. to work on That Was Then, This Is Now (1985) and several other projects. For most of the next two decades, he cut theatrical trailers, first for Cannon Films, where he rose to head the trailer department in 1988. He then moved on to Craig Murray Productions, where he worked on marketing trailers and TV spots for every Disney and Pixar animated picture from 1990 through 2010, as well as many live-action films. He has won Key Art and Golden Trailer awards for his work on Bugs Life and Wall-E and the London International Advertising Award for Best Trailer on The Lion King. He also won the Mobius Award for Best Motion Picture Promo for Lilo and Stitch. Recently, he has concentrated on long form documentaries and features.
