Shawn Levy

Shawn Adam Levy is a Canadian-American filmmaker, producer, and actor. He studied acting at Yale University and then pursued a Master of Fine Arts in film directing at USC. Levy founded his own production company, 21 Laps Entertainment, to support both television and film projects. He began his career directing for television, especially for youth-oriented series, before shifting into major studio films, working across comedy, family, and genre cinema. In his process, he invests months in collaboration with writers before shooting, and he maintains long-term working relationships with creative partners. As a producer and director, he has moved into high-concept television.
