Biography

Melissa Sullivan was born and raised on Air Force bases around the world from Wichita Falls, Texas to Naha, Okinawa. Melissa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical studies at the California Institute of the Arts and is a Lifetime Member of the renowned Actor's Studio The love of music began at an early age for Sullivan. At age eight she started playing the clarinet and sang in a multitude of choirs growing up. Sullivan now has two bands, Facel Vega, an electronica jazz/pop duo with Del Johns and the Melissa Sullivan Jazz Trio. Sullivan has appeared on stage with the Actors Studio as The Girl in the recently discovered Tennessee Williams play, Mr. Paradise, winning an L.A. Weekly Best Ensemble Award and Honey in Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
