Biography

Dea Lawrence began her acting career in the theatre in NYC working off-Broadway, Broadway national tours and in regional theatre. She moved to Los Angeles where she met and married award-winning actor and filmmaker, Michael Zelniker. She and actress, Saratoga Ballantine, had a comedy act called "White House Chicks" and that collaboration led them to make the documentary film, "Troupers" about actors over 80 in Hollywood. In addition to her work as an actress and documentary filmmaker, Dea Lawrence is an experienced advertising sales and marketing leader with a background in media and ad tech. She has worked on countless campaigns for the major studios, networks and Fortune 500 companies. Currently Dea Lawrence is the Chief Marketing Officer of Variety, Inc. responsible for all global branding, publicity, events, as well as sales and marketing programs including social, native, video, digital and print.
