Biography

Hugh Laurie began his artistic journey at Cambridge, where he joined the Footlights, a university dramatic club that has produced many well-known actors and comedians. He gained early recognition in television comedy through a long-standing partnership with Stephen Fry, with whom he collaborated across stage, sketch, and adaptation formats. Laurie expanded into dramatic roles, achieving international prominence as Dr. Gregory House in the series House, earning multiple awards. He has since worked across American and British television, while also engaging in writing, directing, voice acting, and music. Laurie has released blues albums, written a novel, and participated as an executive producer.
