Ray Klein

Ray Klein considers his hometown to be Kansas City, MO, but he was born in Minot, ND, during a tornado. Ray Klein was an Air Force brat (father was a Colonel), and lived in 7 different states by age 12. His first foray into the arts was playing the Trumpet, which he studied from grade school through college. He began playing bass guitar in high school, and he continues to play to this day. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO), and a Master of Music degree - in Composition - from Arizona State University. While in Arizona, Ray was coaxed into trying improvisation with the Oxymoron'z, under the direction of the late Louis Anthony Russo. From there, Ray met and partnered up with Rob Twohy to form the comedy team, Twohy & Klein. After touring the Twohy & Klein act at various dive bars around the United States, Ray settled in Los Angeles and studied improv and sketch at The Second City. He was then a member of several sketch comedy groups, mo
