Biography

With 108 episodes of Paramount Pictures' highly successful action-adventure series "MacGyver", and 90 episodes of Canada's longest running television program "The Beachcombers" among his many producing credits, Robert Frederick is one of British Columbia's most experienced and respected film and television producers. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Frederick also received a Master of Fine Arts from New York University before joining the CBC in 1979. While at CBC he produced and directed several dramatic and documentary series, including "Ritter's Cove", which was an international co-production with Beta Taurus in Germany and Global in London. From the CBC, he moved to Paramount Picture's "MacGyver" where he acted as a production executive and producer. During his involvement on the production, he also found the time to raise the entire financing to produce the critically acclaimed independent feature film, "The First Season".
