Biography

Mark Hirsch is an entrepreneur with successes in retail, consulting, software development and film-making. After graduating from the Wharton School of Business, Hirsch sold a Philadelphia retail business he started and then joined the team creating the independent feature Amongst Friends. As the production was running out of money in the first week of shooting, Hirsch connected with NY-based film companies and was instrumental in securing full completion financing from Island Pictures. The film eventually debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, where a deal was inked with Fine Line Features (a division of New Line) to distribute Amongst Friends theatrically in North America. The film was then picked up for distribution across the globe. Hirsch was also responsible for securing the film's music and Executive Producing the Amongst Friends soundtrack.
