Born April 18, 1962 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, lived in Germany then moved to the U.S. when he was young. He went to the High School of Performing Arts in New York City and the Alvin Ailey Dance Studio. Bernard became a professional singer, actor and dancer, performing in 6 Broadway musicals and touring as one of the leads in "West Side Story" in European Opera Houses.
