Biography

Mark Belasco started out in the vibrant New York City theater community, studying with the world's most respected acting teachers. He's appeared in over thirty stage productions in New York, as well as directing and producing several more. The last play he produced was North of Providence by award winning playwright Edward Allan Baker and directed by Drama Desk Award winning director Russ Treyz. The show's sold out run, which featured Mark in the starring role, generated outstanding reviews. Fueled by the overwhelmingly positive response he decided to produce a film based on the play, where he chose to reprise his role and adapted the play to a screenplay. Shot on 16mm, the film adaptation of North of Providence became a huge hit on the festival circuit, becoming an official selection in fourteen festivals and winning four awards, including best film, best adaptation and best actor for his role. In 2005 Mark relocated to Los Angeles where he studied under the late Milton Katselas. He
