Biography

William Hall holds a Ph.D from the University of Southern California. He is dean of the School of Music and holds the Bertea Family Endowed Chair in Music at Chapman University in Orange, California, where he has taught for nearly 40 years. He has taught at major music conservatories around the world, and has written dozens of compositions, including his own choral series with National Music Publishers. His professional choral group, the William Hall Chorale (formerly the Orange County Master Chorale), was under contract to Columbia Artists Management for 30 years and appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Hall has appeared as guest conductor of choirs throughout the United States, Asia and Europe, including performances with the Vienna Symphony, the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, the London B.B.C.
