Biography

The father worked for the Nestlé Group for decades and his wife looked after the household and family. Gubser graduated from school with a high school diploma. He then trained as an actor at the renowned Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 1978 to 1981. As a result, he played on stage at Vienna's Burgtheater, among other places. From 1983 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich for three years. He then had an engagement at the Wiesbaden State Theater. Gubser was honored by the State of Berlin in 1986 for his stage achievements. At the end of the 1980s he turned to filmmaking and became popular with audiences of crime series. From 1989 to 1992 he investigated as a Swiss commissioner in the European series "Eurocops". In the romantic drama "Confessional of Desire" from 1997, directed by Peter Lehner, he played a young priest. The trained actor also appeared in a series role in 2002 as Erik Hilgers in the early evening episodes of "Star Catcher"
