Rupert Grint

"I'll always be the red-head from Harry Potter". Rupert Grint is a British actor known worldwide for playing Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, where he launched his acting career after previously only appearing in school plays. Grint, who was a fan of J. K. Rowling's books, sent in a casting video, got an audition, and then the role. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) broke sales records, was very well received by critics, and was the debut of little Rupert, who during the following years participated in independent projects in parallel to filming the saga, such as Thunderpants (2002), Driving Lessons (2006) Cherrybomb (2009) and Wild Target (2010).
