Biography

Jacquie Gould is a Canadian Writer / Director based in Vancouver. A member of the Directors Guild of Canada since 1988, Jacquie started her Film/TV career as an Assistant Director on series including 'WiseGuy', 'Dark Angel' and 'Smallville' and feature films including 'Cadence', 'Alive' and 'Snow Falling on Cedars'. Jacquie is also a member of the Writers Guild of Canada and was the on-set writer on the critically acclaimed CBC series 'Strange Empire'. Jacquie has also written a limited series for CBC titled, 'The Wanting' with the goal to direct. Her short film 'Victory Square' (writer / director) set in Vancouver's downtown east-side, was recently selected for the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, short film showcase. Jacquie's mandate is to write and direct diversity driven film and television as well promote more women behind the lens. She currently has two feature films and four television series in various stages of development.
