Scott Cooper

Scott Cooper is an American filmmaker and former actor known for Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace, Black Mass, Hostiles, Antlers, and The Pale Blue Eye. Trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute, he also studied at Hampden–Sydney College. He directed Deliver Me from Nowhere (2025), based on Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.
