As an actor, Scott Coffey honed his filmmaking skills working with directors such as Robert Zemeckis, Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Thomas Anderson, and David Lynch. As a director, he's influenced by Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Altman, and by his continuing longterm collaboration with Lynch, whom he considers a mentor.
