Biography

Patricia Castaneda was born in Cali, Colombia, and not only has she been acting since a very young age, but she is also a writer. On her first paid acting role, Tiempos Dificiles, she was nominee for best actress in the India Catalina Film Festival, and has worked since. Patricia studied theater-drama in HB Studio with Uta Haggen in New York in 2000, and was during her 4 year studies in NYC where she did her first play. She got the part of the mute, in an off-off Broadway play: Mono, which had been running for 2 years; Patricia joint the last 3 months. Later on she audition for the lead in The Sons of Juan Perez, and got the part of Maria. In 2004 she received a call from Caracol's CEO, a Colombian main studio, asking her to return for a year to play the lead role in a TV series, which score the highest rating during the year it was aired. Patricia has worked in TV, theater and movies, and is one the few actresses who shares acting with writing: in 2007 she published a book of 10 short
