Biography

Singer, model, actress and songwriter Lynn Carey was born on October 29, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. She's the daughter of famous actor Macdonald Carey. Lynn began her show business career as an actress and a model while still in her teens. Carey has a sizable co-starring part in the wild comedy "Lord Love a Duck" and has a minor role in "How Sweet It Is!". She made guest appearances on the TV shows "Lassie," "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," "Run for Your Life," and "The Wild Wild West." Lynn joined the band C.K. Strong in the late 60's; the group recorded two albums prior to breaking up in 1970. Carey next was the lead singer for the equally short-lived band Ivar Avenue Reunion; they only recorded one album. Lynn then paired up with vocalist/bassist Neal Merryweather; the duo recorded a single album in 1971. Lynn achieved her greatest musical success as the lead singer for the bluesy hard rock outfit Mama Lion; the band recorded two albums which were excellent showcases for Carey's ama
