Biography

Actor Jason Emanuel was born in Johannesburg, South Africa to parents Melvyn and Sylvia on October 2nd, 1976. After immigrating to Canada with his mom, dad, and older sister Susan in 1977, he was raised in Richmond, British Columbia. Jason studied drama for three years at the Gastown Actors' Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia (1995-1998) and began his professional acting career in 1996. Since then, this talented performer has made numerous television and film appearances, including shorts, TV episodics and features. Jason has also acted, directed and produced classical and contemporary plays for the stage, having received a Jessie Richardson Award nomination (Best of Vancouver Theatre) in the category of 'Outstanding Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role' for his portrayal of Aaron in Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus. Jason wed actress Sarah Kanter on December 18, 2005 and immigrated to the United States in July 2007. He then began studying with Terry Schreiber at T. Schreiber
