Biography

Dan Dillon was born to Robert and Charlotte Dillon on 14th January 1939 in Chicago. He began his career in entertainment as a radio presenter and broadcast engineer in America and Australia, helping to launch the career of 1950s pop group the Fleetwoods. Moving to Hollywood he became a sound engineer and re-recording mixer on many big films, including 'Funny Girl', 'Tota! Tora! Tora!' and Close Encounters of the Third Kind' and television shows such as 'Bewitched' and Mork & Mindy'. He was nominated for an Emmy for his work on 'L.A. Law'. Retiring from the film world in the 1980s Dan managed a ranch in California before moving to Colorado, where he died in June 2015 from complications following a fall.
