Biography

Elaine Del Valle is a Brownsville, Brooklyn-bred Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate filmmaker. She is an HBO Latinx short film Director award winner. In 2022, her autobiographical film, Brownsville Bred, swept the festival circuit, winning awards at SXSW, Urbanworld, Seriesfest, DTLA, Catalyst Stories, Official Latino and Newport Beach Film Festivals. Her work has been featured in NALIP's Director & Media showcases, and her short films, Me 3.769 (2019) and Princess Cut (2020) were picked up by HBO. Elaine is passionate about bringing American Latina voices to the forefront. She is a Warnermedia 150 Artist- a program known for curating socially impactful storytellers. Her original drama pilot, The System, landed in development with CBS and Sutton Street Productions (Jane The Virgin). Elaine is an alumna of the 2022 WGA East Showrunner Academy, LAByrinth Theater Producer lab and the Sundance Institute.
