Tim DeKay is an American actor whose formal training in the performing arts began after an initial academic path in business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Le Moyne College, then redirected his focus to theatre and obtained an MFA from Rutgers University. His early professional work developed in regional and off-Broadway theatre, with performances in classical and contemporary productions. DeKay later expanded into film and television, adapting his stage-honed skills to screen roles across a variety of formats. Over time, he broadened his engagement beyond acting — he directed and produced a short film, and also directed episodic television.
