Michael Darrell

Michael Darrell was born in Harlem, New York raised between Brooklyn and Plainfield, New Jersey. Early on, he started writing songs. Along his journey saw many shows at the Apollo. Where he got the bug to write songs, plays and poetry. He later appeared in Steven Spielberg's classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) as the very first Government Agent who ended up discovering and later chasing our heroes along with our other Government Agent antagonists in the final climatic scene. Then after that, he appeared as a Background Singer in the late legendary Maurice White's "Stand By Me" (1985) Music Video, then as the Bailiff in Phil Alden Robinson's romantic comedy In the Mood (1987) and a few independent film projects where he had a lead role in them. Throughout the years he has produced different Blues bands in Los Angles at very small venues. At the Los Angeles Theatre Center, he produces "Travis Taylor's Daughter Rose", a one woman show about a night club singer that's making a comeback after falling off her game.
