Biography

Beau Dare is an American actor and screenwriter who is known for the films "Wisdom", "My Blue Heaven" and the TV series "Sledge Hammer". He was born and raised on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio USA. After finishing high school, where he excelled in athletics (Lake Erie league champ in pole vault) he served in the US Navy at the US submarine base at Holy Loch, Scotland. Upon leaving the navy, Dare drifted across Europe before returning to the US, and moved to San Diego, California where he worked as a fitness trainer, and print fashion model, before becoming an actor and screenwriter in Hollywood, and then London, England. Dare has also written 23 screenplays, including a biography on the British acting couple, Rex Harrison and Kay Kendall, "Exuberance is Beauty" (2008). Has also written the stage play, "The Best Story Can't Be Told", and has written a "Hitchcock" romantic, suspense thriller film script (2023).
