Biography

Joslyn Barnes is Chief Operating Officer of Louverture Films, a New York based independent production company she co founded with actor Danny Glover. The company, which includes partners Susan Rockefeller, Sawsan Asfari and the Bertha Foundation, specializes in international narrative fiction and feature documentary films. Barnes is known for Hale County This Morning, This Evening (2018), Strong Island (2017), Zama (2017), White Sun (2016), Cemetery of Splendour (2015), and Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 (2011), among other films. Barnes is a two-time Oscar nominee and Emmy winner.
