Biography

Peter Bamler was last engaged at the Badener Staatstheater in Karlsruhe. Among other roles he played Baron Tusenbach in Chekhov's 'Three Sisters', directed by Peter Hatházy, and Aldo in the original production of Bodo Kirchhoff's 'Drei Fische für zwei Paare'. Peter Bamler gathered his first stage experience as stage technician for tour productions at the theater of his hometown Lindau. He received his actor's training at the "Hochschule der Künste" in Berlin from 1984 until 1988. Engagements in Düsseldorf followed, first at the Jugendtheater (e.g. as Murph in 'Der Indianer will zur Bronx', as Groucho Marx in the 'Marx Brothers Radio Show' and as Jatagan in 'Ein seltsamer Kampfum die Stadt Sarmakand'), then at the Schauspielhaus. In 1993 he was awarded with the "Förderpreis der Stadt Düsseldorf".
