Darby Bailey

Darby Bailey is an American actress, voice-over artist, musician, songwriter, writer/producer, filmmaker, and businesswoman. She is most known as the 'Voice of Tellme'. Her voice has been heard billions of times by telephone callers in the U.S. since she first started voicing phone systems in 1999. The Silicon Valley company, Tellme Networks, Inc. modeled Darbot, their speech recognition system, on her voice in 1999. Sold to Microsoft in 2007, her voice then became part of many other automated voice response systems, including Ford Sync, inside Ford vehicles, among others. As of 2021, Ms. Bailey continues to voice what has grown from hundreds of thousands, to possibly a million concatenated audio phrases for many Fortune 500 Companies, including AT&T, American Express, Delta Airlines, Fidelity Investments, Hartford Life, UPS and others.
