John Astin

John Astin is an American actor and director with a career spanning theater, television, and film. Educated at Johns Hopkins University, he began on stage before moving into screen roles across comedy and drama. Alongside acting, he directed award-nominated work, contributed to animation as a voice actor, and participated in artistic organizations. From 2001 to 2021, he taught at Johns Hopkins, serving as head of the Theater Arts and Studies Department, where he combined performance with education and mentorship.
