Biography

Taka Arai is a native of Japan residing in the United States. He founded Pathfinder Pictures in the year 2000 as a production and North American distribution company. Pathfinder Pictures has produced films includes "Until The Night" (Norman Reedus, Kathleen Robertson, Sean Young) "Yellow" (John Cho) and "Shadow Fury" (Sam Bottoms, Pat Morita, Fred Williamson, Alexander Kamp) and is currently active in independent film development, production and distribution. Pathfinder also maintains alliances with Japanese film production partners and distribution companies. He spent four years in Japan from 1990 to 1994 as the Director of Advertising and Publicity for Warner Bros. Japan (WBJ), including Buena Vista International releases. He released a total of 64 films under his direction as head of marketing including "The Bodyguard," "JFK," "The Fugitive," "The Lion King," "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle," and "The Silence of the Lambs".
