Biography

Behrooz Afrakhan, an award-winning broadcaster/filmmaker has spent over two decades working in film production, global news and sports programming. His degree in TV-Film is from Columbia College-Hollywood. Afrakhan began his career in Los Angeles at KVEA (Channel 52), the Telemundo flagship station. His diversified positions included stage manager, video tape supervisor and cameraman/editor as well as producing daily Mexico World Cup soccer segments for the evening news. His involvement has continued with the quadrennial sports spectacle to this day which has included working as segment and highlights producer for more than 40 live international telecasts and the related pre/post-game shows for the Univision network. Afrakhan has announced more than 150 international soccer games including World Cup soccer qualifying matches for Fox Soccer Channel.
