Jamie Foxx studied musical and performing arts composition at United States International University in San Diego before beginning performance work that combined stand-up comedy and musical skills. He entered television as a featured player in a sketch comedy series, then co-created, produced, and starred in his own sitcom, integrating acting with creative production responsibilities. Foxx moved into film and television drama and comedy, collaborating with directors and performers across projects produced with national and international partners. He also pursued musical work, recording and releasing studio albums and working with other recording artists. Later, he expanded into hosting and executive production for a televised game show format.
