Biography

Anthony Lucero is an American poet, screenwriter, director, actor, producer and journalist. He is the founder and co-creator of the circus outreach organization, Circus Remedy, as well as the independent publishing house, Putzina Press. Lucero is the author of the acclaimed, The Clown (Chiron Review Press), dear little missy (Putzina Press), and The Living Party, Selected Earlier Poems 1989 -2019 (Chiron Review Press). He has written several screenplays including GODOT, Trade, MOO BAAHAHH OINK, Halo of Stars, and an adaptation of Richard Brautigan's, A Confederate General from Big Sur. In late 2016, Lucero directed his first feature, Halo of Stars, based on his long poem, The Clown. The film stars Pål Sverre Hagen, Lily Collins, Holliday Grainger, Keti Mchedlishvili, Harry Treadaway, János Derzsi, Nikola Djuricko and Nutsa Kukhianidze.
