Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson is an American actor active since 1978. After studying theater and English at Hanover College, he gained prominence as Woody Boyd on Cheers (1985–1993), a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award. While still on the series, he began establishing a film career that brought international recognition. Over the years, Harrelson has received Academy Award nominations as well as Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations for both comedic and dramatic work. Alongside his artistic career, he is active in environmental causes, supports the legalization of marijuana and hemp, and follows a raw vegan lifestyle.
