Pierce Brosnan is an Irish actor and film producer who trained at the Drama Centre London before beginning his career on stage. After early television work, he gained recognition in the NBC series Remington Steele (1982–1987), which led to film opportunities in the late 1980s and 1990s. Brosnan became the fifth actor to portray James Bond, appearing in four films from 1995 to 2002, and expanding the role into video games. Following Bond, he diversified his work across genres, including political thrillers, comedies, musicals, and fantasy productions. He co-founded the production company Irish DreamTime in 1996 with Beau St. Clair. Brosnan has received two Golden Globe nominations, for Nancy Astor (1982) and The Matador (2005), and continues to combine his screen work with environmental and humanitarian initiatives.
