Steve Buscemi is an actor, a producer, and a director of film and television who has participated in more than a hundred films and series, often playing eccentric, criminal, and comic characters. He is known for memorable successes, but he is also one of the main figures in American independent cinema.
Buscemi began his acting studies at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, where he already created his own plays. At night, he used to perform in live comedy clubs. Years later, his film career took off with Parting Glances (1986).
Mostly known for his supporting roles in films such as Scorsese's New York Stories (1989), Barton Fink (1991), Fargo (1996), and The Big Lebowski (1998) by the Coen brothers, Buscemi established himself as a significant actor with Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992).
