That's what I'm born to do.” Morgan Freeman is an acclaimed American actor known for his emotional depth, versatility, and subtle humor. With a career spanning stage, screen, and television. He initially aspired to be a fighter pilot but turned to acting after his service in the U.S. Air Force. Freeman made his Broadway debut in Hello Dolly! (1967) and later became known for his role on the children’s show The Electric Company in the 1970s. Freeman gained recognition for his film roles starting with Brubaker (1980) and Street Smart (1987), which earned him his first Oscar nomination. He was further nominated for Driving Miss Daisy (1989) and earned praise for performances in Lean on Me (1989), Glory (1989), and Unforgiven (1992). He made his directorial debut with Bopha! (1993) and later starred in The Shawshank Redemption (1994), which earned him another Oscar nomination. Freeman won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Million Dollar Baby (2004) and went on to portray Lucius Fox in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
