The enchanting Meg Ryan solidified her reputation as the quintessential romantic comedy icon of the 1990s. Hailing from Connecticut, Ryan embarked on her acting journey with her debut in the 1981 film "Rich and Famous", the soap opera "As the World Turns", and the 1986 blockbuster hit "Top Gun." But it was her portrayal of the charming and witty Sally Albright in "When Harry Met Sally", opposite the funny Billy Crystal, that propelled her to stardom earning her Golden Globe nominations with that famous restaurant scene.
