Katherine Heigl began her professional development in entertainment as a child model with Wilhelmina Models, transitioning into acting with early screen appearances that combined television commercials and small roles in scripted productions. She balanced academic studies with acting commitments before leaving high school to pursue performance full-time, building experience in both episodic television and feature work.
