Emir Kusturica

Emir Kusturica, is a Serbian film director, screenwriter and musician, acclaimed for his surreal, poetic style and focus on marginalized lives. After studying at FAMU in Prague, he gained international recognition with Do You Remember Dolly Bell? and When Father Was Away on Business, winning awards at Venice and Cannes. Known for Time of the Gypsies and Underground, he remains an influential voice in European cinema.
